2017-2023: the IPCCG years

For roughly six years, this domain was the home of the International Prenatal Cardiology Collaboration Group (IPCCG) - a multinational collaboration of fetal cardiologists, obstetricians, and researchers coordinated from Poland, associated with the Polish fetal cardiac defects registry (IPAK-CARD) and research groups led from the Medical University of Lodz and Plock academic institutions.

The group's published work - identifiable in PubMed by its collaborations and registry studies - centered on real-world prenatal detection of congenital heart defects across many centers, including a widely cited analysis of database penetration: how many fetuses with heart defects the screening systems of participating countries actually found before birth (Journal of Perinatal Medicine, PMCID: PMC4368244, and related papers). The domain was cited in the methods and correspondence of that literature.

What lived at /webinars

The site's most-linked page, prenatalcardiology.org/webinars, listed the group's educational webinar series for clinicians - session announcements, presenter line-ups, and registration links. Those pages were removed when the domain lapsed; if a citation or an old index brought you here, that address now redirects here, to the record of what it was. The series was an activity of the collaboration, not a product we maintain or can register you for.

What lived at journal.prenatalcardiology.org

The Prenatal Cardiology journal ran for years on a subdomain of this domain. The journal itself did not disappear with the domain: publication continues under Via Medica, and its current home, tables of contents, and submission information are on the publisher's site (journals.viamedica.pl). Archive copies of the old subdomain remain readable through the Wayback Machine (web.archive.org). We are independent of the journal and its publisher; we point to it because families and researchers following an old citation deserve a working trail.

Now: an independent education site

The IPCCG's registration of this domain ended in 2023; this site is a new project, unaffiliated with the IPCCG, its coordinators, the Polish Ministry of Health, or any hospital. We chose to continue the domain's public-education direction - explaining fetal heart findings to the families who live with them - because that is the honest continuity available: same subject, new stewardship, clearly labeled.

We do not claim, inherit, or trade on the IPCCG's authority. When we cite the group's research, we cite it as any independent site would - by publication, with identifiers.
